Practicing Greek Myth Noir Illustration

My wife is a Classics Major who studied Classical Greek and Latin as an undergrad at Harvard University. She read a lot of mythology in the original Greek. We talked about collaborating on a story where the Minotaur is set in a Noir setting. I decided to do some practice on drawing Minotaurs as well as Noir staples like femme fatales, pistols, and dramatic lighting coming through venetian blinds. In the last sketch, I combine what I learn and draw a Minotaur under Noir lighting conditions, trying to capture the spirit of the entire project.
